TKMC CAMP OVERVIEW

The Texas Kali Mastery Camp will begin with orientation, introductions and opening presentations. Throughout the camp we will have multiple physical training sessions including solo and group exercises, technical practice, flow drills, application training and special challenges all with a variety of weapons. Physical training will be alternated with lectures and presentations during which participants can rest. This alternating schedule allows us to take advantage of our time together without tiring everyone beyond what is safe and fun.

Some of the presentations in the past have included edged weapon attack dynamics, history of the Filipino Martial Arts, highlights of warfare in the Philippines, recent events concerning Kali in military and law enforcement, Surviving Penetrating Injuries, and Emergency First Aid.

Dates: October 14-16 / 2011. Over 20 hours of day and night intensive training.

Location: John Knox Camp located near Wimberly, Texas (between Austin and San Antonio)

Fee: $300 includes T-shirt, food, lodging and training

Instructors:Tuhon Leslie L. Buck Jr., Mandala Rene Rodriguez, Mandala Rudy Salazar, Guro Mike Connoly, Guro Arvee Garde, Guro Bob Ondarza and more from the TKA team.

Sponsors: endorsed by Grand Tuhon Leo Gaje Jr., the Texas Kali Association, Kali Gear, and the Tactical Arts Academy.
